CAMMEBY’S SIGNS THREE NEW RETAIL LEASES AT
626 SHEEPSHEAD BAY ROAD IN NEPTUNE/SIXTH

Café, Krupa Hallmark and Liquor Store to Join DII at New Commercial Building; Only Two Retail Units and 45,000 SF of Office/Medical Space Remain Available for Lease

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (JULY 30, 2017) – Continuing its leasing momentum, Cammeby’s today announced that it has signed three new retail leases at 626 Sheepshead Bay Road, a state-of-the-art commercial and retail building currently under construction as part of the new mixed-use neighborhood destination, Neptune/Sixth, in Coney Island.

The new leases include Danny’s Café Express, Krupa Hallmark, and I&M Liquor, which will join DII Stores, the neighborhood department store that, earlier this year, signed a lease to anchor 626 Sheepshead Bay Road. Winick Realty Group, the exclusive retail leasing agent for Neptune/Sixth, represented Cammeby’s in the transactions.

Construction is well underway on the seven-story, 161,000-square-foot building, which is expected to begin welcoming tenants at the end of 2017. Currently, more than half of the building’s 90,000 square feet of office and medical office space is either leased or in negotiations, leaving just 45,000 square feet available. On the retail front, just two units at the building remain available for lease.

“We’re extremely pleased with the leasing success we have experienced at 626 Sheepshead Bay Road, which is clearly filling a void in the market for modern commercial and retail space,” stated Jacob Cohen, executive vice president of development at Cammeby’s. “We look forward to announcing new leases soon, and welcoming the building’s tenants later this year.”

In addition to 626 Sheepshead Bay Road, Neptune/Sixth will also encompass a mixed-use retail and residential building at 532 Neptune Avenue. Over the past several months, Cammeby’s has announced multiple retail leases for 532 Neptune Avenue, including those with regional supermarket NetCost, Capital One, CVS Pharmacy and Apple Bank.

As a community-oriented development, Neptune/Sixth is set to be home to a diverse mix of both retail shops and service-oriented business, while adding new amenities that the community can use and share, including ample parking.

Designed by New York-based S9 Architecture, Neptune/Sixth is the comprehensive redevelopment of the former Trump Village Shopping Center and Royal Palace Baths.
